Imperial Chinese Restaurant in Hagerstown

Good food and friendly service, esp since they make dishes customized for me without soy sauce, a food sensitivity I have. Now I go back for their General Tso's chicken made without soy sauce... seems strange since sauce is not brown but very tasty!!

Been going there for years and love their General Tso's Chicken, egg rolls and shrimp fried rice. New owners but still same recipe so all the food is still as great as ever. The only complaint would be the way they package the to-go orders. Use to put the main entree in quart container but this owner puts it in plastic serving dish and I believe it is a smaller portion than the quart container.

I am glad we tried this place. Food was really good. Large portions for a lunch menu. The staff was polite. I had kung po chicken, my wife had pepper steak.

I love it here! I came in with friends for a good dinner and that’s what we got. The Imperial Delight and Pu Pu Tray was amazing.The food is the best in town and the service is phenomenal. The hostess was warming and it seemed like they wanted to keep everyone happy. I would recommend this place to friends and family! I will definitely come back for more.

Have not been here in a couple years and it has never been better! New owners are very friendly and it’s nice to know there’s a new and better change. Waitresses are friendlier now with a cleaner atmosphere. I stopped coming after rude waitresses who snickered to their self and it was filthy. I will definitely be coming back soon and will be my new go to Chinese!

We’ve been getting take out from imperial for years and it has been consistently good. Not so tonight. The meat in the Sweet and sour pork was really chewy and the batter was undercooked. The spring rolls and the crab Rangoon were over cooked and really dry. Really disappointing.

Awful food, barely competent staff. A very LIMITED selection, hygiene is.... questionable at best. Avoid it like a plague, not worth the money. We're not going back there again.

Food is really good! But sometimes they dont pay attention or give enough effort to certain items on the menu. Ordered general tso and it was amazin! The wings have the same breading as sweet and sour chicken (gross) then the BBQ ribs come with NOOOO SAUCE!! lady told me that they gave me extra soy sauce in bag. Have you ever had BBQ RIBS with just soy sauce? Gross overcooked salty meat is what u get. They gotta do better.

Definitely a place worth visiting, the food is good and well prepared, the pricing is convenient and it is consistently neat there. Kudos.

General Tso Chicken taste more of soy sauce that it does the traditional sweet and spicy sauce. A bit pricey side compared to other Chinese restaurants

Had the shrimp and chicken with vegetables and it was delicious, love the sauce they put on it.

I came here yesterday after a long drive from VA beach and we were hungry for Chinese! It’s hidden right behind the Dunkin Donut and perfect for desserts after! They had homemade almond cookies so we didn’t need to get ice cream after! Typically we try to avoid Chinese restaurants that are not as upscale because we get sick after, but this was the best we saw online! The table cloths were white with red napkins making it such a stunning atmosphere! Staff is top notch as well. As far as food, I got General Tso and to our surprise it was white meat!! The crunch and sauce was perfect with the Lomein my husband got and my kids loved it too! Definitely a recommended place!

I ordered me Sweet & Sour Chicken with white rice and an egg roll. I picked it up and brought it home. When it was time to eat, I discovered that there was no sweet & sour sauce for the chicken. I called and asked for them to replace my order if sweet & sour chicken, but they refused. They said that the sauce should have been in the bag.

Quality Chinese food here at a reasonable price point. The General Tso Chicken is crispy, even under the sauce, which makes it that much better. If you like it spicy be sure to ask for extra spicy or it won't have any heat at all. The Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken are good as well.

I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants and this place tops them all! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. This is the first restaurant that I’ve been to that uses more white meat chicken in the General Tso’s! Vegetables are crisp and fresh and the sauce are perfect. Atmosphere is very nice as well. Our waitress was very helpful with my kid’s picky eating!

General Tso is awesome with their string beans! Definitely coming back!

I ordered Szechuan Chicken but have no idea if that was delivered; strips of chicken but lots and lots of bean sprouts which I didn't expect...the fried rice and egg roll were very good; the steamed dumplings were huge and they did give me extra sauce. The worst part was waiting well over one hour for delivery, but my driver did call to let me know he was trying to get my food to me.

Great place to grab lunch. Brought my dad here for lunch and he loved it. We ordered the general tso chicken and shrimp fried rice. The waitress was polite and nice and was caring to my dad and I. This will definitely be my go to Chinese restaurant in Hagerstown.

Seriously the best Chinese I have ever had! The food is better than the ones I had in Chinatown in NYC! General Tso is white meat and crispy with a big amount! I had leftovers and it was still so good!! Staff are so friendly and the owner up front was smiling and so inviting! Great prices for great food! Highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to be back!

HIGHLY recommend! I have never had a bad meal here! I always get the Generals Tso and chicken lo mein which is not like any other places! This is the only Chinese place I go to! The staff is always so friendly and making the atmosphere so nice. The price is good and you get a lot of what you order! There’s a bar too and the Imperial Special is very good!

Food is definitely good, at least what I tried. Service is lacking. I waited 15 minutes for a refill for my drink and there were only 5 people eating at the time. 3 waitresses but only 1 doing anything. If you are big on good service I'd go somewhere else.

Very nice and friendly staff. Love their general tso’s chicken! Apparently they don’t use dark meat but use white meat instead so it’s a lot healthier and tastier and you can really taste the difference between other Chinese food places. I love their corn eggdrop soup. Definitely will dine again!

My absolute favorite Chinese place! I talked to an ex employee of theirs that said," the kitchen is super clean" Best wonton soup ever!

Food was prepared fresh, portions are generous.
